Study of the suitability of plain bearing as a sensory utilizable machine element
Condition monitoring of plain bearing applications can be realized by measuring the impedance of the lubrication gap. In this context, Mr. Kötz is investigating the influence of the shape and arrangement of plain bearing segments in a segmented plain bearing in order to determine the stress and wear condition of hydrodynamic plain bearings with as few segments as possible.
